"Nate Barnett is a student of the game and has a strong desire to teach others correct baseball fundamentals based upon the latest technology that is available today. He has outstanding communication skills. Nate sincerely desires to help anyone who is interested in becoming a better baseball player." Pat Bailey, Assistant Head Coach, Oregon State University
"Nate is a knowledgeable instructor and a student of the game. He knows how to teach the fundamentals of baseball so that it has meaning for different learning styles." Geoff Loomis, Head Coach, Pacific Lutheran University "I have worked with Nate for over three years now. He has helped my game immensely in two areas. The first area is hitting. I have been a good hitter all my life, but Nate put me up into the category of being a great hitter. After working with Nate, my numbers went up. My batting average was .509 my senior year in high school and I led the league in RBIs as well as doubles. Secondly, he enlightened me on the mental part of baseball, which is the most important. He taught me the value of self talk to improve my stability and consistency as a player. My high success rate in high school and now college baseball has been because of Nate." Josh Takayoshi, Outfielder, Pacific Lutheran University
"I highly recommend Nate Barnett as a pitching coach for any young athlete. Nate has a unique teaching style that emphasizes proper pitching mechanics for each individual. His style and instruction, along with a little work between lessons, will produce steady improvement in the child's performance and confidence on the mound. Most importantly to me, Nate does not allow his students to throw any advance pitches before their bodies are physically ready. My 12 year old son has benefited greatly from Nate's instruction and over the past 4 years and has played on teams ranging from elementary school rec to semi-select.
This past season, my oldest son was asked to play on two different All Star teams. I feel that the mentorship and example that Nate has shown him has taught him the importance of sportsmanship and fair play.
My youngest son began his instruction with Nate this year and is excited. Nate looks at each child as an individual, evaluates their talents and focuses on "one step at a time" improvement. He has incredible patience and a wealth of experience to draw from to help your child improve and succeed, not only in baseball but in life. I feel very fortunate to have found Nate when I did for his instruction has greatly assisted my boys, made them better ball players and reinforced my belief that good sportsmanship and fair play are the keys to success on and off the field. Nate gets my strongest endorsement."

“Three years ago, my son decided he wanted to get serious about baseball. We researched baseball training in our area and decided on a program for our son. He is now 13, and has worked with Nate for the past three summers. While there are many instructors available, Nate is simply the best instructor.
I asked my son why Nate is the best. He replied, “Nate is the best instructor because he spends more time with me and the other players than anyone else. He makes sure that we understand what he is teaching, whether it is something new or trying to make adjustments to something that we need to work on, like our swing.. I feel like he cares about me and what I am doing. I know that if I continue to work with Nate, I will be a better baseball player and a better person.”
I have to agree with my son. When you attend a training camp, there are always players who stand out amongst the rest. Nate is the instructor who stands out amongst the others. I hear other parents in the stand echoing the same thoughts as well. Nate has a gift of working and communicating with youth. Because he also focuses on the mental side of baseball, the players have a better understanding of the big picture of the game, how they fit in that picture, and how they affect that picture –or how that picture can affect them.
Nate continually shares real life experiences to help players realize the importance of mental baseball. He may tell a story about when he played with Willy Bloomquist and JJ Putz and how they were mental and emotional standouts (which is a major factor in their success today). He shares this lesson with young players and helps them to develop the necessary mental skills. i.e. What do you do when you go up to the plate after you have struck out three times...? He teaches players how to deal with the positive and negative mental aspects of the game.
We highly recommend Nate as an instructor and mentor. Once you see Nate sharing his magical gift with your player(s), you will understand what we are talking about. If you love baseball, you will love the experience of working with Nate Barnett.”
